Wind from the Sea. Kashubians in Polish art 1920 - 1939. exhibition catalogue January - September 2020.

The book is a catalogue accompanying the exhibition of the same title and shows the collective image of Kashubians and Kashubian culture in Polish painting, graphics, drawing and photography of the interwar period. It discusses the essence of social and cultural changes in Pomerania at the threshold of the 20th century, which resulted in the revival of Kashubian regionalism and contributed to the interest in Kashubian and Kashubian culture on a national scale. The catalogue contains a set of still little-known works of art by Polish artists, showing artistic inspirations with the Pomeranian region's landscape and the Kashubians' everyday activities, mainly focused on the toil of coastal and lake fishermen. It also touches on the spiritual culture of the Kashubians - showing interesting examples of the iconography of rituals and folk customs, as well as objects of folk and applied art.
